Mary Beth Fisk MT (AMT) (ASCP), CTBS, CQA (ASQ)

Mary Beth Fisk has over 25 years of blood, tissue banking and cellular therapy experience, and serves in many leadership positions with the national blood and tissue banking professional standard-setting organizations.  She currently serves in numerous capacities with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), America’s Blood Centers (ABC), as well as the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB).  She currently serves on the Board of Governors of the AATB as treasurer.  Mary Beth has served as chair of the Program and Accreditation Committee of the AATB.  In the past, she has served as Vice-Chair of the Tissue Bank Council for the AATB and secretary of the Chapter 1404 ASQ.  She has also served as the chair of the AABB Education Advisory Committee for Accreditation.

Mary Beth has been instrumental in the development of the Texas Cord Blood Bank (public cord blood bank program) – program design, contract agreements, purchasing of equipment, and development of the processing technology.

 She is a certified quality auditor for the American Society of Quality (ASQ), a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS), and a Medical Technologist (MT).

Linda Kay Myers, ASCP, MT, SBB, CQA (ASQ

QualTex Laboratories provides blood and plasma testing services for clients worldwide. In 2010, QualTex tested 7.5 million samples and continues to develop critical testing services for biological products. Myers has been with the Center for 17 years and helped implement ongoing research and development projects, which have enhanced the image of QualTex as a premier research and testing facility. 

Linda oversees and manages all laboratory testing, including procuring new contracts and providing technical oversight for two locations, San Antonio, TX and Atlanta, GA.  Linda has over 38 years of experience working in the blood banking industry. Linda’s career has been focused in non-profit organizations with 37 years in management roles. While serving as Director of Quality Assurance for South Texas Blood & Tissue Center, she lead the organization in their journey for ISO 9002 certification and the Center became the first Blood Bank in the US to achieve ISO certification in 1996. 

 She is a member of American Society for Quality and is a certified Quality Auditor with an additional certification in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Linda has served as a Quality Texas Examiner and serves on the Quality Texas Foundation Board.
