Mother Sandra Sepulveda first learned of the cord blood program through brochures at North Central Baptist Hospital. She said,“I’m blessed with 2 healthy children. Anything you can do for someone else is a good thing. I’m also a blood donor. This is like donating blood. I didn't give it {donating cord blood} much thought. It's really unselfish."

Doctor Troy and Doctor Murdock both spoke of the unselfish nature of donating cord blood. "This is an opportunity to help others. If it’s encouraged enough, and we eventually have a big enough pool, there may be a match for everyone who needs it."
