Distinguished Speaker Series: Since its inception in 1996, the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center’s Bill Stone Distinguished Speaker Series has provided attendees an opportunity to hear lectures from world-renowned scientists and physicians. Bill Stone, Ph.D., a former STBTC board chairman, is a respected geneticist and tenured professor at Trinity University. The series honors his contributions to STBTC and medical science. The series continues to bring renowned scientists to San Antonio to discuss current issues in blood and tissue banking. It is attended by physicians and medical professionals from the south Texas community, who network and discuss the most current technology advances.  Continuing education credits are approved for each session and there is no fee for attending.  Distinguished Speaker Schedule
